Der Kampf im Westen was a propaganda publication, approximately 80 pages long, filled with information about the war. It was meant to celebrate the German army’s swift victories in the Western campaign.
The book was written to boast about German military successes and promote the reasons for the war effort. It was regarded as a luxury item and not considered as required reading.
